'Me, My Nan and Oldham' by Connor Coulston
Born in 1992 Oldham UK, Connor Coulston recently graduated from the Royal College of Art and is now the Master of Art with a specialism in ceramics at Eton College. Me, My Nan and Oldham is a witty re-imagining of Coulston’s Nan’s front room. Aiming to provoke a sense of nostalgia in his audience, Coulston's work reflects on the memories and ideologies of the white working class of Oldham. It aims to entertain whilst also highlighting the problems faced by those who feel forgotten and left behind in ‘The Most Deprived Town in the UK’.
