'We Are British' by Rio Blake

Acclaimed young photographer, Rio Blake, created a photobook celebrating Britain’s multicultural society - featuring mixed heritage British residents from across the UK including London, Brighton, Birmingham, Jersey and Blackpool.

‘’The aim of the project is to reinforce the idea that Great Britain is only great because of the cultural diversity of the people in it. Britain is famed for its tolerant, multicultural society which should be celebrated.’’ Rio Blake.

RIO BLAKE is young acclaimed documentary and portrait photographer, whose work focuses on the real aspects of life. Her photography emphasises an intimacy between subject and photographer, which is constantly present in her work.
