'The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson' by Jonathan Maitland

On February 23rd 2016 Boris Johnson decided to vote ‘leave’ after a dinner party which included fellow MP Michael Gove, media mogul Evgeny Lebedev and, for Johnson at least, the spirits of prime ministers past - Mrs Thatcher, Winston Churchill and Tony Blair.

Fast forward to post-Brexit Britain, 2029: a country divided. Johnson is in the political wilderness when he unexpectedly gets a shot at the top job.

This timely play written by Jonathan Maitland (Dead Sheep, An Audience With Jimmy Savile), offers a serious insight into the mind and motivation of one of the most divisive politicians of our age and a glimpse into the future of an independent Britain.

The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson will be performed at The Park Theatre, London from 9th May - 8th June.
