'BORDER- A VR Ride' by Laura Collier & Abigail Conway
BORDER is a virtual reality event and documentary. The show takes its audience on a motorbike journey through dramatic scenery that has provoked debate, conflict, poetry and questions of national identity. Using 360 filming technology, this thrilling experience celebrates the communities and people of Northern Ireland. This first prototype, created by Abigail Conway and produced by Laura Collier, invites the audience to open up questions around shifting political landscapes and society's preoccupation with borders. Abigail is a visual artist and creator of live art who works nationally and internationally in the realm of live performance and large scale installations.

LAURA COLLIER is an independent producer, consultant and facilitator of contemporary theatre. Laura is currently working with The National Theatre, The Globe, and a number of independent artists. Previously, Laura was Head of Studio at the National Theatre, Senior Producer at Battersea Arts Centre and Associate Producer at the Traverse Theatre. She is also a trustee of Northern Stage and Talawa.
ABIGAIL CONWAY is a visual artist and creator of live art. Abigail works with material objects, craft and actions to create playful site-specific installations and immersive encounters for audiences. Her work crosses many disciplines, including; sound and video design, music technology, nature, architecture and performance. Abigail’s work has been presented in galleries, theatres, architecture festivals and showcased by the British Council. It has been presented nationally across the UK and internationally her work has toured Europe, China, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Canada and the USA.
